Zachery Hull

Operations-minded infrastructure builder focused on Cloud and DevOps Engineering through healthcare technology, hands-on AWS work, homelab systems, documentation, and automation.

Summary

RTLS Analyst and infrastructure-focused builder working toward Cloud and DevOps Engineering through healthcare technology operations, documented homelab projects, AWS deployments, networking work, and automation practice.

My experience has consistently centered on systems that need to stay reliable, understandable, and useful: supporting live hospital workflows, troubleshooting user-facing technology, building local knowledge systems, configuring segmented networks, and documenting the lessons that make the next rebuild or deployment better than the last.

Focus Areas

  • AWS hosting patterns, DNS, certificates, edge delivery, and cloud cost awareness
  • Secure remote access, VPN relay architecture, and segmented homelab networking
  • Infrastructure documentation, Git-based workflows, and repeatable technical communication
  • CI/CD foundations, Terraform planning, and automation-oriented deployment practices
  • Service operations: troubleshooting, alert response, preventative maintenance, and recovery planning

Selected Infrastructure Projects

zachull.com Static Cloud Migration

Replacing a Lightsail-hosted WordPress site with a static Astro portfolio designed for S3, CloudFront, Route 53, ACM, GitHub Actions, and future Terraform management.

AWS-Assisted WireGuard Remote Access

Built a production remote-access path using an AWS-hosted WireGuard relay to securely reach homelab resources despite CGNAT constraints.

docker01 Collapse and Rebuild

Documented the failure, containment, and rebuild of a collapsed Docker host, resulting in clearer VM role separation, safer recovery habits, and stronger operational documentation.

Experience

RTLS Analyst — AdventHealth Systems

Support real-time location systems used for staff duress, asset tracking, environmental monitoring, infant security, and protected-area workflows in a hospital environment where uptime, accuracy, and rapid response matter.

  • Troubleshoot RTLS infrastructure, access-control integrations, location-engine behavior, and network backhaul issues across connected systems
  • Partner with networking, facilities, security, and clinical stakeholders to identify root causes, restore service, and validate corrective actions
  • Manage support for protected-area and duress-related workflows, including door-control behavior, exciter performance, tag visibility, and alerting integrity
  • Lead go-live execution for a greenfield facility deployment involving on-the-ground location beaconing tags, distributed tag exciters, and protected-area door-control integrations
  • Use system behavior, incident trends, and location-engine outputs to narrow troubleshooting paths and improve operational reliability

Advanced Repair Agent — Geek Squad

Delivered high-volume technical triage and repair support while helping improve local operational resilience.

  • Troubleshot and resolved device issues across a large daily appointment and ticket volume
  • Prioritized incoming work, escalated deeper issues, and communicated remediation paths clearly to end users
  • Helped reduce turnaround time through stronger triage and outbound communication
  • Built a local knowledge resource to preserve productivity during rare internet outages

Earlier Operations and Leadership Experience

Prior roles in store management and operations strengthened my ability to build repeatable workflows, train teams, organize complex work, and improve systems under pressure. That experience now informs how I approach infrastructure projects, technical documentation, and service reliability.

Applied Systems Experience

Audio / Visual Systems Recording Engineer — Northpointe First Baptist Church

  • Support Dante-networked audio routing for recording and livestream workflows
  • Maintain hardline failover paths and live-event system reliability

IT Networking Associate — Northpointe First Baptist Church

  • Assist with network closet buildout, cabling, and infrastructure maintenance during facility expansion
  • Support continued reliability of both physical and logical network components
